Classrooms are constantly becoming more technology based as noted in the Globe and Mail there are universities in Canada and the United States that are beginning to eliminate the need for classrooms and allowing students to log in and watch there lectures take place online. One of the major benefits to this is the cut down in tuition costs and the ability for people living around the world to revive higher education. It is noted in the article that one of the main reasons for this is students having the ability to go online and learn more in a few minutes from an internet search than a  professor may learn in an entire lifetime on any given topic.

  1. Its funny to think that by placing classrooms to take place online that the tuition costs should decrease as classrooms will no longer need to be avalable to be in use for the duration of the lecture time. However, many students will notice when registering for continuing education courses that the online fee's are actually more expensive. This does not make much sense to the student paying because in their mind they are not using the school facilities, but the convenience of online clasrooms are actually more expensive to the learner. Apparently additional services are required for the college to have the capbility to deliver a class in an online setting, includng technical support. These additional services cost additional money which is why the student gets charged more on their tuition costs.
